Birdy Nam Nam – Goin’ In (Skrillex’s Trap x Goin’ Hard Remixes)

After a multitude of live rips surfacing (which were subsequently taken down immediately), today has finally seen some official audio emerge of Skrillex‘s remixes of “Goin’ In” for newly OWSLA-signed act Birdy Nam Nam. Weirdly, neither of the two alternative mixes sound anything like the preview that Knife Party played in their EDC mix, but we are instead treated to Skrill venturing into both D&B (kind of) and trap – two genres which we haven’t really heard much of from him. The former, entitled the ‘Goin’ Hard’ mix was premiered earlier on today on UKF and, while it’s receiving the generic hatred, I love what he’s done with it – and that drumstep breakdown towards the end is inspired. The latter was given it’s first outing during Diplo’s show on Radio 1 last night.

Love what he’s done with the track – two incredible versions of the track which stay true to the Skrillex philosophy of making damn good music. Out 17th July on OWSLA.
