Arctic Monkeys – R U Mine?

Released earlier on today, here is some brand new material from Sheffield rockers Arctic Monkeys in the form of “R U Mine?”.

Erring on the slightly heavier side of what we’ve become accustomed to from them recently, it sounds like it would have slotted in as a perfect addition to their latest releaseSuck It And See. Incorporating Turner’s notoriously ambigious lyrics, infectious riffs and driving basslines, it is a slightly more simple affair than their last piece of newly released material, the Richard Hawley-featuring “You & I”.

The slick visual too casts a slightly more down-to-earth view of the guys that has been seen in previous videos – whether this was down to constrains on time or budget, it doesn’t matter – it suits the mood of the track perfectly. I love what these guys have producing recently: the album’s follow-up material has been nearly as strong as the tracks that found their way on toSIAS,probably as a result on the freedom that they can enjoy while writing on tour.

Speaking of tours, if you’re North America-residing, you can catch Alex and the boys touring with The Black Keys in March, details can be found HERE. Love this track, go and grab it from iTunes HERE.
