Premiered last night on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, here is the absolutely massive collaborative remix of Nero’s new single “Must Be The Feeling” – with Northamptonshire’s finest Flux Pavilion providing able assistance on the production.
This isn’t the first time that Nero have worked with another artist to provide a spin on one of their own tracks – namely the brilliant “Promises” remix by Skrillex and themselves that took pride of place in the single’s release last year. You can definitely hear that the time away from this one for Daniel & Joe has paid dividends, it’s got a completely different vibe – much more like the rest of the tracks on their smash debut album ‘Welcome Reality’. Flux has also been a busy guy recently – what with producing Sway’s latest single, and working on his debut album (due out later this year) – but his sound is most definitely evident here. The crashing drums and piercing synths offer an alternative to the original, which has a much lighter, almost disco-like feel to it.
This is apparently set to be the last single taken from the #1 record – and one of the best in my opinion. We’ve already heard remixes from Funkagenda and Delta Heavy (which you can download for free), while the official package – which is released on March 4th on MTA Records – will include this and further contributions from Brookes Brothers, Azari & III, Sebastian & Kill The Noise. Can’t wait for this release.
(UPDATE: Check out the Kill The Noise remix below, premiered earlier today on UKF)…
