Blackmill – Fortune Soul

Released a couple of weeks ago on his ‘Miracle’ album, here is ‘Fortune Soul’ – another class track from Carrbridge producer Robert Card, known in the game as Blackmill.

Demonstrating his aptitude at creating chilled-out melodic dubstep tracks, ‘Fortune Soul’ uses swelling piano chords and reverb vocals to create a deep feel, and the bassline gives it an almost futuristic atmosphere. It’s not often that producers like these add vocals to their own tracks, but that’s what Blackmill’s done here, and to great avail.

Having his remixes of both Ellie Goulding’s ‘Your Song‘ and Chase and Status’ ‘Time’ well received by a receptive dubstep audience looking for that something different in today’s saturated market, it looks like this guy’s carving out his own little niche and great success is likely to come as a result. Currently unsigned, (but I imagine that will change in the very near future) this multi-talented producer is unbelievably exciting.

Check out ‘Fortune Soul’ below and go and grab his album ‘Miracle’ from Amazon/iTunes.
