Drake – Crew Love (feat. The Weeknd) x Take Care (feat. Rihanna)

The internet has gone a bit crazy over the last few days, as one of the most hotly anticipated albums of 2011 was leaked online. Drake’s ‘Take Care’ is a 16-track feature-heavy monster, and while I haven’t yet listened to the whole album, there have been indications that this could be one of the best records of the year so far. Drake has said that he felt his first album ‘Thank Me Later’ was too rushed and felt that he needed time to perfect his next effort. Sounds like it was all worth it.

We’ve already heard both ‘Headlines’ and ‘Marvin’s Room’, but these two new tracks take it to whole new level. This should suffice until the album officially drops on November 15th.

Crew Love (feat. The Weeknd)

When you put these two in a studio, things are always bound to go right. Fellow Canadian The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) provides a soothing vocal, which, coupled with one of the best verses that I have heard come from Drake, makes this one an instant favourite. Proper.

Take Care (feat. Rihanna)

These two have obviously worked together (on Rihanna’s smash hit ‘What’s My Name’) but they have teamed up here to add their hip-hop style to ‘I’ll Take Care of U’, taken from Jamie XX and the late Gil-Scott Heron recent release ‘We’re New Here’. I’ve got an unbelievable amount of respect for Jamie XX (the man’s a genius) and I really like the direction that Drizzy has taken this already brilliant song. Deep.
